Before becoming an Executive Coach, Debra practiced law for 18 years in several firms ranging in size from an international mega-firm to her own entrepreneurial practice. She specialized in business transactions, but also assisted trial attorneys in a number of cases. She draws on this extensive legal experience, as well as a degree in Psychology and over 500 hours in training as a professional coach to help lawyers improve their management skills, increase productivity and bring in more business. She also helps burned-out lawyers redesign their practices for greater fulfillment. She is Vice Chair of the Law Practice Management Committee of the State Bar of Texas and the Chair of the Law Practice Management Section of the Houston Bar Association. She writes a monthly column for the State Bar published in The Practice Manager and publishes an ezine called Raising the Bar. She is credentialed as a Professional Certified Coach by the International Coach Federation, and is a past leader of the Houston chapter of the International Coach Federation.
